Dancewest Magazine

Ausdance WA members receive dancewest magazine every quarter. dancewest is a glossy, quarterly publication packed with dance industry news, views, information and dance photos.

Ausdance WA members are encouraged to submit contributions to dancewest to let the community know about their news and/or achievements.

Ausdance members enjoy heavily discounted rates for advertising in dancewest.

Dance enews and Class ebulletin

Dance enews is Ausdance WAs fortnightly email newsletter containing the latest dance news, What's On performance information including workshop notices and audition opportunities local and national.

King Street Arts Centre: discounted studio hire rates

Ausdance WA manages three centrally located, beautifully appointed, purpose-designed dance studios. Ausdance members receive discounted rates for studio. 

Database

Ausdance WA members are listed on our database. Ausdance WA is frequently contacted by dance organisations, schools and members of the general public seeking artists/teachers. A listing on our database increases members' employment opportunities.

The database is also a great way to find the contact details for a particular person, organisation or dance style.

Discounted membership of STRUT dance

Ausdance members pay only $11 to become a member of STRUT dance, Perth's independent dance collective. STRUT dance provides programming, mentoring, administrative and promotional support to contemporary dance artists residing in WA.

Discounted professional development for secondary school teachers of dance

From 2010 Ausdance WA will be providing annual professional development opportunities for dance teachers, in consultation with the Curriculum Council. Ausdance WA members receive a discounted rate on all professional development workshops. Ausdance WA members also receive discounts on ACHPER dance PD days.

Library

Ausdance members have free access to the Ausdance library that includes an extensive collection of contemporary dance DVDS, magazines and periodicals such as Dance Australia, Dance Magazine (America), Lowdown, Animated, and Brolga, as well as a variety of books and information pamphlets.

Auspicing

Ausdance WA will auspice the financial aspects of members, professional projects for a negotiable fee. Using Ausdance in this way means that your dancers are covered by our workers compensation insurance.

Proof reading and feedback

Ausdance WA provides free, confidential proof-reading and feedback for CVs, job applications and grant applications, and free access to advice and information relating to the dance industry.

Ausdance National works with AON Insurance to develop the best possible insurance products for the dance industry. See attached Factsheet for more information.

World Dance Alliance (WDA)

This independent, non-profit, non-political organisation began as the Asia Pacific Dance Alliance in Hong Kong in 1988. WDA—Asia Pacific (AP) is one of three regional centres that make up World Dance Alliance. The other two are WDA—Americas and WDA—Europe.  Ausdance members are automatically WDA–AP members.
